I’ve built a successful law firm, and Will Dukes has been helping me for several years with quarterly reviews of our marketing and sales processes.
However, as we have grown and added several associates, my partner and I noticed that one area we could improve to increase referrals and repeat business, as well as collections, was to improve the level of interaction those associates had with our clients.
Will worked directly with my partner and I to create a custom training that addressed those needs specifically for our legal team and administrative team.
With his background in education and curriculum design he was also able to very quickly have the legal training approved for CLE credit with the Florida Bar.
CLE can often be a monotonous chore, but Will is fantastic at making it meaningful, interactive, and experiential. My associates were actually thanking me for forcing them to attend a CLE event, they were asking for permission to interact with the clients sooner, and I walked in the next day and my admin team was actively discussing, on their own, additional ways to handle clients when they are upset or being difficult.
Beyond some helpful techniques in diffusing emotional situations, one of the greatest things Will was able to impress on the team was that the mission of the firm is to serve our clients in their legal problems in a profitable exchange. The firm is not there to provide them with jobs. Their continued success is a result of us continually adding value to our clients in a sustainable way.
